As the Visual Effects Supervisor for "Cherry," directed by the Russo brothers and starring Tom Holland, it was a blast to be on set and ensure that every BLAST had a big impact.
My team at Visual Creatures and I integrated invisible effects throughout the entirety of the film, along with some not-so-invisible augmentations to some large war sequences. Practical explosions and bullet hits on set were augmented with massive explosions and raging fires that would have been prohibitive to achieve on set. Our state-of-the-art VFX techniques played a pivotal role in bringing to life the film's intense narrative, from vivid war scenes to surreal internal struggles.
